Outperforms ABC in Key Demo for First Time in Three Seasons

MTP beat ABC’s This Week in the demo most valued by news advertisers in the 2023-2024 broadcast season, for the first time since 2020-2021.

Compared to the prior season, MTP improved its competitive positions across-the-board vs. ABC and improved its total viewer gap vs. CBS’s Face the Nation, which continues to rate for only 30 minutes of its hour-long program while experiencing a massive drop-off in viewers every week following the close of its lead-in, CBS Sunday Morning

In Q3 2024, MTP outperformed CBS in the key demo for the first time in 7 quarters.

#1 in the Key Demo This Past Sunday

MTP led ABC by +7,000 (+2%) and CBS by +71,000 (+18%) in the demo.

Sunday’s broadcast featured a brand new NBC News national poll and exclusive interviews with Sens. Lindsey Graham (R-S.C.) and John Fetterman (D-Pa). It averaged 2.282 million total viewers.

In the Washington D.C. market, MTP beat the competition combined in A25-54 viewers and has not lost a Sunday in total viewers in over nine years.

Sees Second Strongest Week This Year on Digital
