Sept. 5, 2024 — NBC News will present comprehensive coverage of the presidential debate on Tuesday evening, broadcasting the full debate live on NBC and NBC News NOW and offering extensive primetime coverage across both networks beginning at 8 p.m. NBCNews.com and the NBC News app will feature up-to-the-minute analysis and the latest reporting from Philadelphia throughout the day.

NBC Nightly News anchor Lester Holt and TODAY co-anchor Savannah Guthrie will anchor a pre-debate primetime special starting at 8 p.m. on NBC and NBC News NOW, followed by a live presentation on both networks of the ABC News-hosted debate at 9 p.m. Holt and Guthrie will continue special coverage following the debate. 

Top Story anchor Tom Llamas and Weekend Nightly News anchor Hallie Jackson will lead coverage at 11 p.m. on NBC News NOW alongside Meet the Press moderator Kristen Welker. Llamas, Jackson and Welker will take streaming coverage late into the evening with contributions from chief political analyst Chuck Todd and an expert NBC News team that will break down the news, cut through the spin and offer comprehensive post-debate analysis.

NBCNews.com will offer a comprehensive live blog on Tuesday featuring live updates and signature insight from NBC News’ extensive team of correspondents, reporters, producers and embeds covering the 2024 campaign.
