Nov. 21, 2023 — Meet the Press with Kristen Welker (MTP) was the #1 Sunday show in the key demo this past Sunday, Nov. 19, according to data from Nielsen Media research. It marks the second straight week in which the program has beaten the competition in the demo most valued by news advertisers.
This continues MTP’s season-to-date lead over the competition among A25-54 viewers.
On digital, MTP reached 4.6 million views across platforms, with viewers watching 549,000 hours of content – a 35% increase over last week and an 89% increase over this time last year.
#1 in the Key Demo This Past Sunday
MTP ranked #1 on Sunday in the A25-54 demo, averaging 425,000 viewers and leading ABC’s This Weekby +75,000 (+21%) and CBS’s Face the Nation by +24,000 (+6%).
This week marks MTP’s second consecutive win over ABC in the demo and continues MTP’s season-to-date lead among A25-54 viewers.
Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Deputy National Security Advisor Jon Finer, former Gov. Chris Christie (R-N.J.), and Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-Conn.) and averaged 2.417 million total viewers, leading ABC by +205,000 (+9%) and trailing CBS, which continues to rate for 30 minutes of its hour-long program, by just 7%.
An additional 317,000 viewers and 125,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC.
Continued Success on Digital Platforms
An additional 160,000 viewers watched Sunday’s full episode on YouTube this week.
Across all digital platforms, MTP reached 4.6 million video views, with audiences consuming 549,000 hours of content – a 35% increase over the week prior and an 89% increase over this time last year.
#1 in the Nation’s Capital for 8 Years Straight
MTP ranked #1 across the board in the influential Washington, D.C. market on Sunday, continuing its 8 year streak in which it has not lost a single Sunday in total viewers.
