Sees Top-10 Performance on Digital Platforms for the Month of October
October 31, 2023 — Meet the Press with Kristen Welker (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday public affairs show in the demo most valued by news advertisers this past Sunday, October 29, according to data from Nielsen Media Research.
On digital, MTP had one of its top ten months on record across digital platforms, on pace to deliver more than 20 million views across digital platforms for the second consecutive month.
#1 in the Key Demo This Past Sunday
MTP ranked #1 this past Sunday among viewers aged 25-54, averaging 485,000 viewers in the key demo and besting ABC’s This Week by +37,000 (+8%) and CBS’s Face the Nation by +33,000 (+7%).
Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with 2024 GOP presidential candidate and Gov. Ron DeSantis (R-Fla.), Rep. Pramila Jayapal (D-Wash.), and former Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger (R-Calif). The program averaged 2.497 million total viewers, trailing ABC by just 2% and CBS, which continues to rate for just a half hour of its hour-long program, by just 5%.
An additional 308,000 total viewers and 127,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC.
Sees Top-Ten Month on Digital
MTP had one of its top 10 months on record across digital platforms in October. The program is pacing to deliver more than 20 million video views for a second straight month, making September and October the show’s two strongest months of the year.
On YouTube, full episodes saw an average of 294,000 viewers on top of the show’s linear reach, with the average viewer watching for 26 min per episode
This past Sunday’s episode reached an additional 221,000 viewers on YouTube and MTP reached nearly 4 million video views last week, with viewers watching 375,000 hours of content across platforms.
#1 in the Nation’s Capital for 8 Years Straight
MTP beat the competition combined in A25-54 viewers in Washington, D.C. It has never lost a month in total viewers in the influential capital market and hasn’t lost a Sunday in over 8 years.
