#1 Most Watched Sunday Show in the Nation’s Capital for 83 Straight Months
March. 15, 2022 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo this past Sunday, March 13, according to Nielsen Media Research.
#1 in Key Demo Again
MTP was #1 in the demo most-valued by news advertisers and averaged 675,000 A25-54 viewers, leading ABC’s This Week by four percent (+25,000) and CBS’s Face the Nation by +32 percent (+162,000), which continues to rate for only the first 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast and follows the highly rated CBS Sunday Morning. This marks MTP’s biggest A25-54 viewership in 31 weeks (since August 8, 2021).
Compared to last week, MTP was up six percent (+39,000) and doubled its A25-54 lead over CBS (+162,000 vs. +81,000 prior week).
Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan and Former U.S. Attorney General William Barr and averaged 2.789 million total viewers. Compared to last week, MTP improved its total viewer gap over CBS (-316,000 vs. -339,000 prior week).
An additional 163,000 total viewers and 65,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC.
Reaches More Than 3.9 Million Video Views Across Digital
Last week, MTP reached more than 3.9 million video views, up +59 percent year over year, and reached more than 565,000 hours watched across digital platforms, up +46 percent year over year.
This past Sunday’s full episode has currently reached more than 424,000 video views and more than 337,000 viewers.
And, the full episode that aired last Sunday, March 6 saw 1.3 million video views on YouTube and 1 million viewers.
83 Consecutive Months as #1 Most Watched Sunday Show in Washington, D.C.
MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, winning in total viewers for 83 consecutive months.
