November 23, 2021 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo for the November sweep and this past Sunday, November 21, according to Nielsen Media Research.
#1 in Key Demo for November Sweep
MTP ranked #1 in the demo most valued by news advertisers for seven out of the last nine sweep periods.
MTP averages 510,000 A25-54 demo viewers during the November sweep, topping than ABC’s This Week by four percent (+19,000) and CBS’s Face the Nation by eight percent (+38,000).
An average of 2.498 million total viewers tuned into the broadcast during the November sweep: three percent (+72,000) more than ABC.
Wins Sunday in Key Demo; Tops Competition by Double-Digits
MTP was also #1 in the demo most valued by news advertisers this past Sunday and topped both ABC and CBS by double-digits. MTP averaged 524,000 A25-54 viewers: +11 percent (+50,000) more than ABC’s This Week and +38 percent (+143,000) more than CBS’s Face the Nation.
Compared to last week, MTP was the only Sunday show to grow in the key A25-54 demo and was up +10 percent (+48,000) and more than quadrupled its A25-54 lead over CBS (+143,000 vs. +32,000 prior week).
Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Sec. Pete Buttigieg, Sen. Kevin Cramer and Sen. John Tester and averaged 2.570 million total viewers: nine percent (+221,000) more than ABC. Just one percent separated MTP from CBS, which continues to rate for only the first 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast and follows the highly rated CBS Sunday Morning.
Compared to last week, MTP was the only Sunday show to grow in total viewers and was up one percent (+25,000) and improved its total viewer gap over CBS by +92 percent (-21,000 vs. -265,000 prior week).
An additional 269,000 total viewers and 102,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC.
Reaches More Than 2.2 Million Video Views Across Digital
Last week, MTP reached more than 2.2 million video views and 273,000 hours viewed across digital platforms.
This past Sunday’s full episode has currently reached more than 410,000 views, up +28 percent week over week, and 345,000 viewers, up +30 percent year over year. And, the full episode that aired last Sunday, November 14 delivered 480,000 video views on YouTube, up +29 percent week of week, and 404,000 viewers, up +32 percent week over week.

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, winning in total viewers for 79 consecutive months.
