NBC NEWS’ HALLIE JACKSON TO ANCHOR DAILY PRIMETIME STREAMING PROGRAM ON NBC NEWS NOW BEGINNING MONDAY, NOV. 15

‘Hallie Jackson NOW’ to Stream Daily, Monday – Friday at 5 PM ET

One of NBC News’ Top Political Experts to Highlight the Stories Driving Headlines Outside the Beltway

Nov. 9, 2021 – On Monday, Nov. 15, NBC News will debut Hallie Jackson NOW, a daily primetime streaming program on NBC News NOW, hosted by NBC News Senior Washington Correspondent and MSNBC anchor, Hallie Jackson

The one-hour program will stream at 5 p.m. ET Monday through Friday on NBC News NOW, available on Peacock, NBCUniversal’s streaming service, as well as on The Roku Channel, YouTube TV, YouTube, Fubo, Xumo, Pluto, Tubi and NBC News’ apps on Roku, Fire TV and Apple TV.

In a constantly changing news cycle, Hallie Jackson NOW will unpack it all, kicking off the streaming network’s evening programming with new reporting, going beyond the headlines of politics and Washington. Jackson will bring viewers the most important national, culture, technology, international and business stories of the day and will utilize the full breadth of NBC News reporters and correspondents to deliver a fast-paced broadcast with a high story count, to bring viewers the very latest on the top news of the day, as well as deep dives into stories from across the country and around the world.

During the weekday program, Jackson will lean on her deep experience as an anchor and reporter to guide viewers through how the news impacts them, and will rapidly dissect the stories that matter most with NBC News’ reporters and correspondents in the field at the center of them.

For Jackson, the wide-ranging show offers a chance to flex her journalistic muscles beyond Washington politics: “It’s the news for people who love the news. That’s our goal,” said Hallie Jackson. “I’m a reporter at my core and we’re especially excited to showcase the incredible work that my friends and colleagues across the network are doing, and to pull back the curtain to show our audience what it’s really like to bring these stories to life.”

The show will also feature regular series, including “The Original” – lengthier stories seen nowhere else from Jackson and her fellow anchors and correspondents – and “The Backstory” – a behind-the-scenes look with our reporters on what it takes to get stories ready for air.

In the first week of programming, Hallie Jackson NOW will stream a first-person reported story on mental health featuring a trip to “burnout camp’ in North Carolina, and will take an in-depth look at the hugely popular online influencers connecting directly with millions of teens – except they’re not actually humans at all.

Jill Billante is the executive producer of Hallie Jackson NOW. Janelle Rodriguez is the SVP of Editorial for NBC News and executive-in-charge of NBC News NOW.

This launch follows a recent announcement by NBCU News Group Chairman Cesar Conde on the organization’s significant streaming and digital investment, adding new original programming and hundreds of jobs to NBC News NOW and across the NBCU News Group Digital organization. In September, Top Story with Tom Llamas launched as NBC News NOW’s first primetime program, and the streaming network has additional programming planned for later in 2021.

Since launching in 2019, NBC News NOW has grown to an average of nearly 60 million views and 20 million hours watched each month. The launch of Hallie Jackson NOW  is the newest addition to the streaming service’s growing slate of programming, which includes Top Story with Tom Llamas, Morning News NOW with Joe Fryer and Savannah Sellers, NBC News NOW Live with Aaron Gilchrist and Morgan Radford, NBC News NOW Live with Alison Morris and Chuck Todd’s weekly show Meet The Press Reports. NBC News NOW also hosts various special reports, with recent programming including Meet the Press: Election Night Special, Can You Hear Us Now?, TransAmerica, Cuba’s Fight for Freedom: Patria Y Vida, The Racism Virus, and more.

NBC News NOW is available as a channel on Peacock, Fubo, Pluto TV, Samsung TV Plus, The Roku Channel, Tubi, Xumo, YouTube, YouTube TV and NBC News’ apps on Roku, Fire TV and Apple TV.
