Reaches 2 Million Video Views Across Digital Platforms
March 9, 2021 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo this past Sunday, March 7, according to Nielsen Media Research.
#1 in Key Demo for 8 Out of Last 10 Weeks; Tops Competition by Double Digits
MTP was #1 in the demo most valued by news advertisers and topped both ABC and CBS by double digits. MTP averaged 678,000 A25-54 viewers: +11 percent (+68,000) more than ABC’s This Week and +14 percent (+85,000) more than CBS’s Face the Nation, which continues to rate for only the first 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast and follows the highly rated CBS Sunday Morning. Compared to last week, MTP was up two percent (+14,000). Season-to-date, MTP remains #1 in the key demo for six straight years.
MTP averaged 3.259 million total viewers: +11 percent (+310,000) more than ABC. Compared to the same Sunday last year, MTP was up two percent (+57,000), and compared to last week MTP was up +5,000 total viewers.
Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Jeffrey Zients, White House Coronavirus Response Coordinator; Sen. John Barrasso (R-Wyo.), Chair of the Senate Republican Conference; Sen. Joe Manchin (D-W.Va.), Chair of the Energy and Natural Resources Committee; and Michael Osterholm, Director of the Center for Infectious Disease Research and Policy at the University of Minnesota.
An additional 218,000 total viewers and 87,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC.
Reaches 2 Million Video Views Across Digital
MTP reached 2 million video views, up two percent year over year, and reached 380,000 hours watched across platforms, up +283 percent year over year.
This past Sunday’s full episode has currently reached more than 517,000 views and 414,000 viewers. And, the full episode that aired last Sunday, Feb. 28 saw 739,000 views on YouTube and 591,000 viewers.
Almost Six Years as #1 Most Watched Sunday Show in Washington, D.C.
MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, more than quadrupling the competition among A25-54 and total viewers winning every Sunday with total viewers in almost six years (since March 22, 2015).
