“MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD” IS THE #1 MOST-WATCHED SUNDAY SHOW IN THE KEY DEMO

Tops Competition By Double Digits

December 22, 2020 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo this past Sunday, December 20, according to Nielsen Media Research.

Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Sen. Mitt Romney (R-Utah); Dr. Vivek Murthy, Incoming U.S. Surgeon General; and Kyle McGowan, former Chief of Staff at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and Amanda Campbell, former Deputy Chief of Staff at Centers for Disease Control and Prevention.

MTP averaged 793,000 A25-54 viewers and topped both ABC’s This Week and CBS’s Face The Nation by double-digits in the demo most valued by news advertisers: +11 percent (+79,000) more than ABC and +13 percent more than CBS (+89,000). This marks MTP’s best A25-54 viewer delivery in five weeks (since November 15, 2020). Compared to last week, MTP grew the most and was up five percent (+37,000).

MTP averaged 3.414 million total viewers. An additional 401,000 total viewers and 198,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through a rebroadcast on NBC.

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, more than doubling the competition across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers in over five years (since March 22, 2015).

Tune in to MSNBC’s MTP Daily weekdays at 1 p.m. ET for more from moderator Chuck Todd, and follow the broadcast on Facebook and on Twitter for the latest.
