NEW YORK – Dec. 15, 2020 – For the 68th straight week, NBC News’ TODAY won the key demo. TODAY beat ABC’s “Good Morning America” (GMA) in A25-54 for 257 of the past 259 weeks. Holding on to its top spot, TODAY has been the number-one morning show in the all-important demo at this point of the season for six years in-a-row. Plus, TODAY’s coveted demo lead has grown versus GMA, compared to last season.
When it comes to total viewers, last week TODAY increased its viewership lead over CBS “This Morning” by more than 30 percent versus the prior week.
