Marks Sixth Straight Consecutive Quarter Win

September 21, 2020 – Dateline NBC is the #1 Friday newsmagazine during the 3rd quarter, topping ABC’s 20/20 by double-digits across the board in all key measurements, including the key news demo A25-54, the key primetime demo A18-49 and total viewers. This marks the sixth consecutive quarter win across the board.
Among A18-49, Dateline averages 646,000 A18-49 viewers, eclipsing 20/20 by +16% (+87,000) and among A25-54, the broadcast notches 898,000 viewers, topping 20/20 by +12% (+99,000).
Additionally, Dateline averages 3.198 million total viewers, leading ABC by +10% (+283,000).
The true-crime original series recently kicked off its 29th season, with all-new episodes airing Mondays and Fridays at 10pm ET, with a limited run of broadcasts on Thursday. Dateline also won the 2019-2020 broadcast season across the board.
