#1 In Key Demo For 20 Consecutive Weeks; Tops Competition By Double Digits

July 14, 2020 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board this past Sunday, July 12, according to Nielsen Media Research. Read more here.
Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Assistant Secretary for Health at the Department of Health and Human Services and White House Coronavirus Task Force Member Admiral Brett P. Giroir, M.D., Superintendent of Miami-Dade County Public Schools Alberto Carvalho, and Gov. Larry Hogan (R-Md.). Note: CBS Face The Nation and ABC This Week were both retitled this past Sunday.
MTP averaged 3.170 million total viewers: +14 percent (+399,000) more than ABC’s This Week and two percent (+69,000) more than CBS’ Face the Nation. Compared to the same Sunday last year, MTP was up +11 percent (+325,000).
MTP was also #1 in the demo most valued by news advertisers for its 20th consecutive week and topped both ABC and CBS by double-digits. 701,000 A25-54 key demo viewers tuned into the Sunday program: +28 percent (+153,000) more than ABC’s This Week and +19 percent (+112,000) more than CBS’ Face the Nation.
An additional 1.213 million total viewers and 218,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.
Season-to-date, MTP is the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board.
MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, winning every Sunday with total viewers in over five years (since March 22, 2015).
