NBC NEWS NOW PRESENTS “GROWING UP BLACK: FAMILIES CONFRONTING RACISM,” A CONVERSATION HOSTED BY NBC’S CRAIG MELVIN

Growing Up Black: Families Confronting Racism airs on NBC News NOW on June 15 at 8 p.m. ET

June 12, 2020 – NBC News NOW will stream a virtual discussion with families from around the country on the realities of parenting Black children in America. Hosted by TODAY and MSNBC anchor, Craig Melvin, Growing Up Black:  Families Confronting Racism will stream on NBC News NOW, NBCNews.com, Peacock and on NBC News’ Facebook, Twitter and YouTube channels on Monday, June 15 and 8 p.m. ET 

The special will include conversations with Black American families around the country and feature a special message from singer-songwriter, Angie Stone. 

NBC News’ TODAY and MSNBC anchor Craig Melvin will moderate the discussion on racism together with other Black parents who are raising children of all ages. The special will also focus on how Black parents have had difficult talks with their kids each time they’ve seen others’ sons and daughters killed at the hands of law enforcement.
