TODAY’s Total Viewer Margin with GMA Is a Slim 1% Season-to-Date

NEW YORK – June 4, 2019 – TODAY was the number-one morning show last week topping “Good Morning America” in the key demo A25-54.  The win marks 179 consecutive weeks in first place, TODAY’s best demo streak in more than six years. TODAY also won in total viewers last Wednesday and Thursday. Versus a year ago, TODAY grew its demo lead with GMA by 80% and narrowed the total viewer gap by 83%.  

Season-to-date, just 48,000 total viewers separate TODAY and GMA (a 1% margin).  TODAY is posting its best total viewer lead over CBS in three years.  Additionally, CBS is down the most among the morning shows season-to-date versus the prior year.
