Teenager Madison Holton tells Dateline: “I Have No Doubt In My Mind That The Sheriff Will Try To Put Me Back In Jail”
Dateline’s ‘11 Minutes’ Airs Friday, April 19th at 10pm ET/9pm CT
April 17, 2019 – For the first time on national television, Alabama teenager Madison Holton speaks out in an all-new Dateline NBC, airing April 19th at 10pm ET/9pm CT on NBC, about the fight to prove his innocence after he had been charged with the murder of his parents. Holton tells NBC News’ Josh Mankiewicz, “I have no doubt in my mind that the sheriff will try to put me back in jail.” Click here to watch the exchange.
Entitled 11 Minutes, the one-hour program features a comprehensive inside look at the complicated case in Alabama that made national headlines. In 2016, Madison’s father, Michael, returned home from work and called the police after finding the remnants of a house party. The deputy arrived and found Michael had handcuffed Madison. Just 11 minutes after the deputy had left, police received another 911 call that there had been a shooting. They arrived to find Madison’s parents shot and Madison still in handcuffs.
Friday’s all-new Dateline also features interviews with key players in the case, including Sheriff Bill Franklin, Madison’s uncle Chris Owenby and his former high school classmate, Hannah Traylor.
