Wins Key Demo for 33rd Straight Broadcast – Best Streak in Over 11 Years

Beats Competition by Double-Digits Across the Board

SEPTEMBER 11, 2018 – Meet the Press with Chuck Todd (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show this past Sunday, September 9, according to Nielsen Media Research data, marking its 11th week across the board as #1 and its best streak in seven years (since September 18, 2011).

Sunday’s broadcast featured interviews with Counselor to President Donald Trump Kellyanne Conway and Sen. Ben Sasse (R-Neb.) who told Todd that “there’s just way too much drama every day” in the White House, adding it’s “a reality-show, soap-opera presidency.” The broadcast also featured an exclusive interview with Sen. Dick Durbin (D-Ill.).

MTP won in total viewers for its 11th consecutive broadcast, its best streak in nearly seven years (since September 18, 2011). MTP beat ABC and CBS by double-digits. 3.547 million total viewers tuned in: +19 percent (+554,000) more than ABC’s “This Week” and +10 percent (+310,000) more than CBS’ “Face the Nation.” This marks the broadcast’s 15th straight win over ABC and 11th straight win over CBS in total viewers. MTP posted its highest total viewer delivery in four weeks (since August 12, 2018).

MTP also won in the demo most valued by news advertisers for its 33rd straight broadcast, its best streak in over 11 years (since April 15, 2007). MTP topped ABC and CBS by double-digits. 912,000 A25-54 demo viewers tuned into the Sunday program: +28 percent (+197,000) more than ABC and +24 percent (+174,000) more than CBS.

Season-to-date, MTP is the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board, delivering its largest advantages over ABC and CBS in total viewers in six years (since 2011-2012). This marks the second straight year MTP is #1 across the board at this point in the season.

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, outperforming its competition across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers for more than three straight years (since March 22, 2015).

An additional 1.139 million total viewers and 310,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.
