Wins Key Demo for 25 Straight Broadcast – Best Streak in Over Seven Years

Only Sunday Show to Grow in Key Demo Week-Over-Week, Doubling its Lead Over ABC Compared with Week Prior

JUNE 26, 2018 – “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board this past Sunday, June 24, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Sunday’s broadcast featured exclusive interviews with Sens. Angus King (I-Maine) as well as James Lankford (R-Okla.), who said of the migrant families separated at the border, “we know where every single child is” and “the adult that they came with.”

MTP won in total viewers for its third consecutive broadcast, beating both ABC and CBS by double-digits. 2.910 million total viewers tuned into MTP: ten percent (+253,000) more than ABC’s “This Week” and +11 percent (+278,000) more than CBS’ “Face the Nation.” This marks MTP’s seventh straight win over ABC and third straight win over CBS in total viewers. Week over week, MTP improved its lead over CBS by +11 percent (+27,000).

MTP also won in the demo most valued by news advertisers for its 25th straight broadcast, again beating both ABC and CBS by double-digits. 732,000 A25-54 demo viewers tuned into the Sunday program: +11 percent (+71,000) more than ABC and +47 percent (+234,000) more than CBS. This is the broadcast’s best streak in over seven years (since 3/06/2011). Compared to last week, MTP was the only Sunday show to grow in this key audience, improving its lead over ABC by +98 percent (+35,000) and CBS by +22 percent (+42,000). Year over year, MTP improved its advantage over CBS by +18 percent (+35,000).

Season-to-date, MTP continues as the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board, delivering its biggest total viewer win over ABC in six years (since 2011-12) and CBS in seven years (since 2010-11).

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, outperforming its competition across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers for more than three straight years (since March 22, 2015).

An additional 1.089 total viewers and 282,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.
