JUNE 5, 2018 – “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show this past Sunday, June 3, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Sunday’s broadcast featured an interview with Rudy Giuliani, President Trump’s lawyer, and an exclusive interview with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who responded to the White House administration’s newly imposed tariffs: “The idea that we are somehow a national security threat to the United States is quite frankly insulting and unacceptable.”

MTP was the only Sunday show to deliver more than three million total viewers, beating both ABC’s “This Week” and CBS’ “Face the Nation” by double-digits. 3.012 million total viewers tuned into MTP: +15 percent (+383,000) more than ABC and +10 percent (+274,000) more than CBS. This marks MTP’s fifth straight win over ABC in total viewers. Compared to last year, MTP improved its advantage over the competition by triple-digits, widening its leads over ABC by +126 percent (+214,000) and CBS by +234 percent  (+192,000).

MTP also won in the demo most valued by news advertisers for its 23rd straight broadcast, again beating both ABC and CBS by double-digits. 807,000 A25-54 demo viewers tuned into the Sunday program: +22 percent (+144,000) more than ABC and +44 percent (+247,000) more than CBS. This marks MTP’s longest demo winning streak in nearly seven years (since 9/18/2011). Compared to last year, MTP improved its lead over ABC by +98 percent (+71,000).

For the month of May, MTP was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board. Season-to-date, MTP continues as the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board. This is the first time the show is #1 across the board at this point in the season in six years (since 2011-2012).

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington market, outperforming its competition combined across the board this past Sunday. The broadcast has won every Sunday with total viewers for more than three straight years (since March 22, 2015).

An additional 868,000 total viewers and 220,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.
