Beats ABC and CBS by Double-Digits in Key A24-54 Demo

Grows Audiences Across the Board Week Over Week

Only Sunday Show to Deliver Growth in Total Viewers Year Over Year

DECEMBER 5, 2017 – “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” (MTP) was the #1 most-watched Sunday show across the board this past Sunday, December 3, according to Nielsen Media Research data.

Sunday’s broadcast featured exclusive interviews with Sen. Dianne Feinstein (D-Calif.), who told Todd that “we’re beginning to see the putting together of a case of obstruction of justice” in the Russia investigation, Sen. Susan Collins (R-Maine) and Corey Lewandowski and David Bossie on their new book “Let Trump Be Trump.”

3.568 million total viewers tuned into MTP: +18 percent (+549,000) more than ABC’s “This Week” and four percent (+147,000) more than CBS’ “Face the Nation,” which only rates for the first 30 minutes of its hour-long broadcast. This was MTP’s biggest total viewer audience and advantage over CBS in 16 weeks (since 8/13/2017) and its 36th straight win over ABC. Week over week, MTP grew its total viewer audience by nine percent (+293,000) and increased its advantage over ABC by double digits (+79 percent, +243,000). Compared to the same Sunday last year, MTP is the only show to deliver growth in total viewers (one percent, +18,000).

MTP also won in the demo most valued by news advertisers, topping ABC and CBS by double-digits. It was the only Sunday show to deliver more than one million A25-54 viewers; 1.015 million demo viewers tuned into the Sunday program: +30 percent (+232,000) more than ABC and +45 percent (+313,000) more than CBS. The program grew its A25-54 audience by +13 percent (+113,000) compared to the previous Sunday and is the only show to deliver growth in key demo viewership. MTP improved its margins over ABC and CBS by triple and double-digit percentages, respectively.

Season-to-date, MTP continues as the #1 most-watched Sunday show in the key demo, beating competition by double digits: ABC by +12 percent (+96,000) and CBS by +18 percent (+142,000).

MTP continues to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, outperforming its competition across the board and winning every Sunday with total viewers since March 22, 2015.

An additional 1.229 million total viewers and 354,000 A25-54 viewers watched the Sunday program through rebroadcasts on NBC and MSNBC.
