Kelly to Preview Silicon Valley Story on “TODAY” Friday

July 13, 2017 – For the first time on national television, six female entrepreneurs, among them founders and CEOs of companies that have raised millions, speak out together about sexual harassment by venture capitalists in the tech industry on NBC News’ “Sunday Night with Megyn Kelly.” In the in-depth interview, the six women open up to Kelly about what they’ve endured in an industry where almost 90 percent of the decision makers are men. Kelly will preview her report tomorrow morning on “TODAY.”

In the broadcast airing July 16 at 7 p.m. ET/6 p.m. CT., Kelly speaks with The Muse’s CEO Kathryn Minshew, former MaGIC CEO Cheryl Yeoh, Chewse CEO and co-founder Tracy Lawrence, former Active Collective founder Lindsay Meyer, Wethos CEO Rachel Renock, and Alloy co-founder Laura Spiekerman. Recode executive editor Kara Swisher also discusses “the bro culture,” of Silicon Valley,based on her two decades of tech reporting in San Francisco.

Also on Sunday night, NBC News correspondent Kate Snow reports on the inspirational story of Michaela DePrince, a young woman  who overcame incomprehensible obstacles: losing her parents in Sierra Leone’s civil war, branded the “Devil’s Child” at the African orphanage because of a skin condition, and defeating racial stereotypes in the competitive world of ballet. Today she’s made it to the top, performing with the prestigious Dutch National Ballet.
