NEW YORK (June 20, 2017) – “NBC Nightly News with Lester Holt” ranked #1 in the demo for the week of June 12, averaging 1.7 million A25-54 viewers, leading “ABC World News Tonight” by +203,000 viewers (+14%) and “CBS Evening News” by +441,000 viewers (+35%). The NBC News broadcast posted its best demo delivery and widest lead over ABC in three weeks. Nightly News has ranked #1 in A25-54 for 52 consecutive weeks.
For the week, Nightly News averaged 1.2 million A18-49 viewers, topping ABC by +139,000 viewers (+13%) and CBS by +379,000 viewers (+45%). Among A18-49 viewers, Nightly News has won 97 of the last 98 weeks.
Nightly News averaged 7.6 million total viewers for the week of June 12, leading CBS Evening News by +1.6 million (+27%). Nightly News had its widest total viewer margin over CBS in over two months (since the week of April 3, 2017).
Nightly News holds its largest demo lead over ABC in four seasons and biggest advantage over CBS in three seasons. Compared to last season, Nightly News’ demo lead over ABC is up by +15% and its lead over CBS is up +14%.
