Tops Competition in Demo by Double-Digits for Quarter

Biggest Quarterly Demo Advantage over CBS in Five Years

SEPT. 27, 2016 – “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” (MTP) won the key demo for the third quarter of 2016, averaging 967,000 viewers and topping the competition by double-digits (+12 percent more than ABC’s “This Week” and +19 percent more than CBS’ “Face the Nation”).

With its biggest quarterly advantage over CBS in five years, this marks the fifth quarter in a row that MTP has beaten the network. MTP also improved its lead in the demo over ABC by +43 percent in just one year alone (since Q3’2015).

Averaging 670,000 in the A18-49 demo, this is also the fourth consecutive quarter that MTP is #1 with those viewers: +12 percent more than ABC and +22 percent more than CBS.

MTP delivered an average total viewer audience of 3.188 million for the third quarter, topping ABC by five percent. 

For the month of September, MTP’s win in the A25-54 key demo was its eighth consecutive month as #1 and its eleventh consecutive month as #1 with A18-49 viewers. MTP has now outperformed ABC in total viewers for fourteen straight months.

This past Sunday, MTP continued to dominate the influential Washington, D.C. market, outperforming the competition combined with both total viewers and the A25-54 demo. MTP has won every Sunday it has broadcast in total viewers for 68 consecutive episodes (since March 22, 2015).
