“MEET THE PRESS WITH CHUCK TODD” IS #1 ACROSS THE BOARD

NBC Broadcast Tops ABC in Total Viewers for 15 Straight Broadcasts; Wins the Demo for 7th Straight Week

MTP Posts Significant Double-Digits Gains Year to Year

APRIL 21, 2016 — “Meet the Press with Chuck Todd” was the most-watched Sunday public affairs program in total viewers and all key demos on Sunday, April 17.  MTP delivered the biggest year-over-year gains among the competition, growing by double digits in both total viewers (+30%) and the demo (+18%) versus the same Sunday in 2015.

The NBC broadcast averaged 3.4 million total viewers, marking its 15th straight win over ABC’s “This Week” and best advantage over CBS’ “Face the Nation” since March 6.  “Face the Nation” continues to rate only 30 minutes despite airing as a full contiguous hour in over 3/4 of the country.

In the key A25-54 demo, MTP averaged 976,000 viewers — marking its eighth consecutive win over CBS and seventh straight win over ABC.

MTP continues to lead the influential Washington, D.C. market by a wide margin, topping the competition combined in total viewers and averaging over 100,000 total viewers for 14 consecutive broadcasts. “Meet the Press” has ranked #1 in total viewers every Sunday in Washington for over a year (since 3/22/2015).

“Meet the Press” drew an additional 1.728 million total viewers and 584,000 A25-54 viewers with rebroadcasts on the NBC network and MSNBC.
