Roker Sits Down for a One-on-One Interview with Mrs. Obama and Joins Her for Two School Visits, Airing Friday, April 8 on TODAY
NEW YORK – April 6, 2016 – TODAY’s Al Roker is hitting the road with First Lady Michelle Obama as part of her new garden tour initiative. The trip will start at the White House Garden live on NBC’s TODAY, on Thursday April 7th.
Roker will join the first lady as she travels to two schools, Burke County Middle School in Waynesboro, Georgia, and Philip’s Academy Charter School in Newark, New Jersey. At each stop he will help Mrs. Obama continue her effort to share the stories of local gardens and they will participate in planting events at the schools. After their visits, Roker will sit down with the first lady for a one-on-one interview where she’ll reflect on her time in the white house, the kitchen garden, Let’s Move!, and the future. The interview and tour will air Friday, April 8th on TODAY.
