Clinton Holds Double-Digit Lead over Sanders with African-American Voters
Cruz Continues to Lead with Conservative Voters
Rubio Gains with White Evangelicals, Conservative Voters
FEB. 23, 2016 – Democratic presidential frontrunner Hillary Clinton leads nationally with Hispanic and African-American voters, and Sen. Marco Rubio gains nationally with white evangelicals and conservative voters, according to the latest NBC News|SurveyMonkey online poll.
Ahead of Saturday’s South Carolina Democratic primary, Clinton leads Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) nationally among African-American and Hispanic voters, 65 percent to 22 percent and 46 percent to 43 percent, respectively.
However, Sanders’ popularity among millennial voters holds when breaking down Hispanic support; he leads Clinton by 26 points with Hispanic voters under 35 years old, 60 percent to 34 percent. For Hispanic voters older than 35 years, Clinton leads Sanders by about the same margin: 30 points.

In the Republican presidential race, Trump leads nationally with 36 percent, followed by Texas Sen. Ted Cruz with 19 percent and Florida Sen. Marco Rubio with 16 percent, who is up two points from last week.
Rubio also gained this past week with two key Republican groups heavily represented in the Nevada caucus electorate – white evangelicals and voters who identify as “very conservative.” He is up five points with each group respectively.
