MSNBC Live was first announced in December 2023, featuring a dual approach to live events: a first-of-its-kind, community-focused ticketed events series, as well as more intimate, sponsored, invite-only programs. MSNBCLIVE ‘25 follows the inaugural, sold-out event that brought together 4,000 people from all over the country in Brooklyn, New York, in September 2024. The televised broadcast of the event was watched by more than one million viewers. Over the last year, MSNBC Live has also held a special in-person conversation with voting rights activist Stacey Abrams during the 2024 Democratic National Convention, the final in-person candidate forum ahead of the 2025 Democratic National Committee officer elections and more.

“After an incredible first year, we are so excited to bring the very best of MSNBC back live and in person with our most loyal viewers,” said Lauren Peikoff, Executive Producer of MSNBC Live. “This year, we’re building on last year’s success by bringing in even more of our hosts and finding more unique ways for our audience to engage with the journalists that they trust most.”

MSNBC Live furthers the network’s rapid expansion and community building across digital, social, and audio platforms. The network concluded 2024 as the #1 news network on TikTok and YouTube, and recently achieved its best quarter ever on the platform, with more than one billion video views. MSNBC.comcontinues to rank #1 among the competitive set for the amount of time spent on site. The network produces 27 showcasts and 18 original chart-topping podcasts, including the recently launched The Best People with Nicolle Wallace, which debuted at #1 on Apple and remained there for weeks.

On cable, MSNBC continues to have one of the most engaged audiences in all of television, with the average viewer watching more than eight hours each week. Over the past ten years, MSNBC viewership has doubled – from 500,000 primetime viewers in 2015 (January through May) to more than one million primetime viewers in 2025 to date – in the face of contraction of the cable television footprint.

Marcus Mabry is MSNBC’s Senior Vice President of Content Strategy. Luke Russert is the Creative Director and Host. Lauren Peikoff is the Executive Producer.
