TONIGHT – “The Briefing with Jen Psaki” Debuts at 9 p.m. ET on MSNBC

“THE BRIEFING WITH JEN PSAKI” TO PREMIERE TONIGHT ON MSNBC

Jen Psaki Expands Her Primetime Role to Four Nights a Week at 9 p.m. ET

Former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and Governor Wes Moore Join Tonight’s First Show

(Washington, D.C. – May 6, 2025) – Tonight, MSNBC will debut “The Briefing with Jen Psaki” hosted by Jen Psaki, airing at 9 p.m. ET. In the show’s debut, Jen Psaki will speak with former Secretary of Transportation Pete Buttigieg and Governor Wes Moore (D-Md.).

Psaki joined MSNBC in 2022 and previously helmed the 12 p.m. ET hour on Sundays before also adding the 8 p.m. ET hour on Mondays in 2023. Beginning tonight, Psaki will join the likes of fellow MSNBC primetime hosts Rachel Maddow, Nicolle Wallace, Ari Melber, Chris Hayes, Lawrence O’Donnell, Stephanie Ruhle, along with Symone Sanders Townsend, Michael Steele, and Alicia Menendez, who host the 7 p.m. ET slot Mondays through Fridays beginning Monday, May 5.

“‘Hosting a show at 9 p.m. is a tremendous opportunity and responsibility to speak to an audience of millions of viewers… And I take that with a level of seriousness and responsibility that I think it warrants, and that will be our focus,’ Psaki told USA TODAY.

“Psaki plans to make room for longer-form conversations with figures at all levels of government during her ‘briefings.’ And of course, she says, the show will still offer context on the Trump White House as it radically reshapes the function of the Oval Office,” PEOPLE writes of Psaki taking the helm of the 9 p.m. hour Tuesdays through Fridays.

“I spent two decades working for two presidents and a secretary of state and have been on more campaign buses that I could ever recall or list for you… I’m going to lean into that experience and background to help provide clarity for people who are watching,” Psaki shared with the Associated Press.

Based in Washington, D.C., “The Briefing with Jen Psaki” will aim to help viewers better understand the happenings in Washington and around the country, how it impacts their communities, and what leaders are doing to stand up for the people they represent.

Tune in to “The Briefing with Jen Psaki” on Tuesdays through Fridays at 9 p.m. ET on MSNBC.
