“THE BRIEFING WITH JEN PSAKI” TO PREMIERE ON MSNBC ON TUESDAY, MAY 6

Jen Psaki Expands Her Primetime Role to Four Nights a Week at 9 p.m. ET

(Washington, D.C. – April 23, 2025)“The Briefing with Jen Psaki” will premiere on MSNBC at 9 p.m. ET on Tuesday, May 6, expanding to four nights a week, Tuesdays through Fridays.

Psaki joined MSNBC in 2022 and previously helmed the 12 p.m. ET hour on Sundays before also adding the 8 p.m. ET hour on Mondays in 2023. Come next month, Psaki will join the likes of fellow MSNBC primetime hosts Rachel Maddow, Nicolle Wallace, Ari Melber, Chris Hayes, Lawrence O’Donnell, Stephanie Ruhle, along with Symone Sanders Townsend, Michael Steele, and Alicia Menendez, who will host the 7 p.m. ET slot Mondays through Fridays beginning Monday, May 5.

Based in Washington, D.C., “The Briefing with Jen Psaki” will pull from Psaki’s decades-long experiences on campaign buses, in the Oval Office, at the State Department, and in the briefing room to dissect the most important stories of the day. Every day the show will aim to help viewers better understand the happenings in Washington and around the country, how it impacts their communities, and what leaders are doing to stand up for the people they represent.

A seasoned communications expert, campaign trail alum, and White House veteran, Psaki is also the host of the MSNBC original podcast “The Blueprint with Jen Psaki” which reached Top 5 in all of Apple Podcasts and explores the future of the Democratic party.

A New York Times Bestselling author, Psaki penned her first book “Say More” in 2024, which dives into her lifelong experience in communications and outlines how to be a better communicator in all aspects of life.

She previously served as the White House Press Secretary for President Joe Biden and was a long-time advisor to President Barack Obama, serving in various senior roles during the Obama Administration, including White House Communications Director, Deputy Press Secretary, and Spokesperson for the United States Department of State.

Psaki’s previous Sunday program was consistently the highest-rated weekend program, regularly beating all CNN weekend programs. Psaki’s move to primetime comes as MSNBC viewership sees double-digit growth versus pre-inauguration benchmarks across television, digital, and social media platforms, and is seeing rapid expansion across non-linear platforms as MSNBC also ranks as the #1 news brand on TikTok and YouTube.
