CNBC’s Invest in You: Ready. Set. Grow., a financial wellness initiative in partnership with Acorns, in collaboration with Telemundo, will present an interactive and multi-platform digital town hall, Invest in You: Ready. Set. Grow America’s Financial Education, on CNBC.com Wednesday, October 13 at 1pm ET.

In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, U.S. Secretary of Education Dr. Miguel Cardona will join CNBC Senior Personal Finance Correspondent Sharon Epperson for a conversation with America addressing the current state of financial education, its impact on growth opportunities for the Hispanic community, and how it can lead to economic equality and equity.

Following the conversation with Secretary Cardona, Epperson will lead a panel discussion around the long-term benefits of financial empowerment and the necessary strategies to implement change and expand financial inclusion through quality financial education in America’s schools. Panelists include: Yanely Espinal, NextGen Personal Finance Director of Educational Outreach; Rhode Island State Senator Sandra Cano (D); Dr. Wendy De La Rosa, Behavioral Scientist and Assistant Professor, Wharton School at UPenn; and Marietta Rodriquez, NeighborWorks America President and CEO.

CNBC will also host a second-screen experience on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/cnbc/) beginning at 1:30pm ET where CNBC + Acorns Contributor Janet Alvarez and Louis Barajas, Certified Financial Planner and member of the CNBC Financial Advisor Council, will answer important questions from the Facebook audience centered around financial education.
