Live One-Hour Town Hall Event to Gather Financial Experts to Answer Guests’ Most Pressing Money Questions

ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., July 7, 2020 – On Thursday, July 16th at 7pm ET, CNBC will present “Invest in You: Ready. Set. Grow Your Future – A CNBC & Acorns Town Hall Special,” a live one-hour event that will bring together everyday Americans who have been greatly affected by the current health, social and economic crises with some of the most respected financial experts and thought leaders.

Suze Orman, Gary Vaynerchuk, Dan Roth and other experts, including members of the CNBC Financial Advisor Council, will answer guests’ financial questions and present strategies, tools and takeaways about how people can reset and rebuild their lives during a devastating pandemic.

Some of the guests that will appear on “Invest in You: Ready. Set. Grow Your Future” were selected through HomeGROWn Heroes, a campaign in which people were asked to nominate someone who has gone above and beyond to uplift their family, neighbors or community during the pandemic. The show will feature Americans facing different economic challenges as a result of COVID-19, including a father of three now refocusing his future after his wife passed away due to the virus; a New York City nurse treating coronavirus patients while trying to build a safe and secure home for his family; a US Army veteran and real estate agent who has been working for Instacart to earn additional income; a couple whose retirement plans hit a bump in the road when the current environment impacted the business of the construction company they own; and recent college graduates who are unemployed due to current circumstances or have had to accept jobs unrelated to their respective fields of study post-graduation, among others.

“Invest in You: Ready. Set. Grow Your Future – A CNBC & Acorns Town Hall Special” will be hosted by CNBC anchors Jim Cramer and Kelly Evans with additional reporting by Senior Personal Finance Correspondent Sharon Epperson.

The special will also be livestreamed on Twitter with additional content available on Facebook, including a second-screen experience moderated by Sharon Epperson that will allow users to connect with financial advisors and ask their own money questions. Additionally, CNBC+ Acorns Contributor Janet Alvarez will moderate a Facebook live discussion on the Noticias Telemundo Facebook page.
