CNBC Appoints Elaine Yu as China Reporter

HONG KONG, May 22, 2025 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, today announced Elaine Yu will be joining as a Reporter.

Based in Hong Kong, Elaine will join international business day programs, including the recently launched “The China Connection”. She will cover key business stories related to the changing business landscape in China, along with domestic and international affairs, providing actionable insights for viewers.

An award-winning journalist and educator, Elaine has over a decade of experience reporting across Asia. In addition to her journalism career, Elaine has taught at Hong Kong’s universities, bringing her expertise in long-form and feature writing into the classroom.
