ENGLEWOOD CLIFFS, N.J., March 6, 2024 – As part of its mission to educate and inform, CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, today announced the launch of its second Smarter by CNBC Make It online course, How to Earn Passive Income Online.

The new course, which is available beginning March 12, helps people who are looking to make additional income but don’t know where to begin. Users receive an overview of common passive income streams and important information they need to know to get started. Watch a preview and pre-register for the course here.

Hosted by CNBC Make It Success Reporter Megan Sauer, the How to Earn Passive Income Online course takes users on a journey to learn about what it means to become your own boss, the tools that are needed to get started and ways to further advance the business. The course also offers real-life success stories from people who have done it.

Throughout the course, three instructors discuss easy-to-start online businesses with potential to earn ongoing income, including selling digital products, self-publishing a book and running a print-on-demand business. Entrepreneur and author Amy Landino, print-on-demand seller and educator Ryan Hogue, and online seller Bradley Sutton, give expert advice and insight into how to start and grow a passive-income business.

Users across the globe can access 90 minutes of instructional video content, split into shorter lessons from instructors and real-world case studies. The course also comes with a companion workbook that includes exercises and additional resources.

“CNBC Make It readers regularly write in asking for advice on how they can earn extra money and build passive income into their lives,” said Jenna Goudreau, Vice President and Executive Editor of CNBC Make It. “We’re excited to offer our new Smarter by CNBC Make It online course as a resource to help people jump-start their business ideas.”

Ahead of the launch, CNBC Make It will host a panel at SXSW 2024, The New American Dream: Make Passive Income Working for Yourself, moderated by Success Reporter Megan Sauer in Austin, TX on Friday, March 8. During the panel, three entrepreneurs who generate thousands of dollars a month from passive income will share their stories and provide actionable tips on how to get started, as well as financial advice for those who want to live the new American dream.
