CNBC remains #1 business and financial news media in Asia-Pacific

CNBC

SINGAPORE, 16 May 2023 – CNBC, First in Business Worldwide, has retained its position as the number one business and finance news media brand across Asia-Pacific on a multiplatform basis, according to new data published in the latest IPSOS Affluent Asia survey.

For 26 years, since the survey began, CNBC TV has been the top business and financial news platform among affluent adults in Asia Pacific. The data shows that CNBC Digital is now the number one business and financial news publisher across the region, with key growth markets including Australia, Singapore, and the Philippines.

CNBC now reaches 15.9 million of Asia Pacific’s most affluent every month, the data shows, reaffirming a 45% lead over its closest competitor. The survey also confirmed that more high net-worth investors, C-suite, and decision-makers continue to consume CNBC than any other business and financial news media brand.

The IPSOS Affluent Asia survey studies the top 13% of income earners among the population in eleven key markets, and the latest data is based on fieldwork conducted between January – December 2022. Starting from the first release of 2022, the survey has expanded its base to include respondents between 18-74 years old, from what used to be the 25-64 age range.

John Casey, President and Managing Director of CNBC International said, “Time and time again, CNBC proves itself to be the go-to destination for financial news across Asia-Pacific. These results represent our dedication to providing actionable insights for our audiences, both on air and online.”
